ProCare PT is an outpatient
physical therapy clinic that specializes in the treatment of
women's health needs. As such, a large portion of our patients have
gynecologic, obstetric, or urologic concerns. We also treat general
orthopedic, and chronic pain conditions and offer massage therapy
services. ProCare was founded by Jennifer Rich who has been a physical
therapist practicing in Roanoke for 12 years. Jennifer started
ProCare PT 3 years ago.
2. 10-15 years ago, women's health
physical therapy was almost unheard of in this area. It has been a
rapidly evolving specialty within physical therapy. While working
for another company, I was asked to develop women's health programs.
As I delved into this, I found my true professional love. It is
extremely rewarding to help another woman work through very personal
physical problems and improve her quality of life. ProCare was born
out of a desire to deliver physical therapy services to women “my way”
which allows enough time to listen, talk, and treat the problem.

ProCare offers physical therapy treatment for problems such as pelvic
pain, dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), urinary incontinence, bowel
incontinence, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and pregnancy-related pain such
as sciatica, back pain, or carpal tunnel syndrome. We also offer
pre-natal and post-partum massage, hot stone massage, traditional massage
therapy, and infant massage classes. Massage services are provided
by a certified massage therapist. A relatively new program we offer
is for children with bowel and bladder dysfunctions. In addition, we
do treat men with incontinence, particularly after prostate
surgery.
